Purpose
Home School Association Software is a product of The Service Bench. It provides association administration, communication, trip planning, offline payment records, private parent-managed homeschool records, and a Learning Center for courses, assignments, submissions, feedback, and progress. It is not a school, accreditation service, payment processor, legal adviser, or official government record system.
Accounts and responsibilities
Users must provide accurate information, protect account credentials, use only information they are authorized to manage, and follow applicable laws and association policies. Association owners are responsible for approving members, assigning roles, moderating their community, and maintaining accurate records. Only a parent or guardian may create, supervise, reset, or revoke a student sign-in and decide what child information may be used. A student credential is association-scoped, is not an adult association membership, and may be used only by that student under guardian supervision. Instructors may access and use student information only for courses and students assigned to them.
Learning Center
Association owners and administrators manage the course catalog, staff assignments, publication, and enrollment. Assigned instructors may use student rosters, submissions, progress, grades, and feedback only to deliver or administer their assigned courses. Guardians and instructors are responsible for the accuracy, suitability, licensing, and legal compliance of lessons, resources, assignments, feedback, grades, and education records they create or upload. Guardians remain responsible for meeting applicable homeschool requirements. Student work and progress are educational records, not public association content. Course listings and records do not establish accreditation, transferable credit, or a guaranteed educational outcome.
Acceptable use
Users may not harass others, post illegal or exploitative material, impersonate others, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, misuse private family, student, or course information, access a child or course outside their assigned role, or submit content they lack permission to use. Content may be reported, removed, or restricted under the Community Standards.
Trials and access
Association accounts begin with a 30-day trial unless The Service Bench changes the trial length or grants complimentary access. Association members join free with an invitation code. The app does not process payments.
Records and availability
Users should export important homeschool and Learning Center records and keep appropriate backups. The Service Bench may update the service for security, reliability, or legal reasons. Availability is not guaranteed without interruption.
