THE SERVICE BENCH · SERVICE MANAGER

Privacy policy

Updated September 24, 2026. This policy covers Service Manager and its iPhone app, operated by The Service Bench for service businesses and their authorized teams.

Information handled by the service

Service Manager processes account and company identifiers, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, business and customer addresses, company membership, roles and permissions. It stores the business records users enter, including customers, job details, schedules, estimates, invoices, payments recorded by the business, inventory, employee onboarding documents, payroll entries, notes and uploaded job photos.

Photos may include information visible in the image and metadata supplied with the file. Only upload information you are authorized to share. Do not enter payment-card credentials into business notes or attachments. Business subscription checkout is handled by the website’s payment provider; it is not an in-app purchase.

Camera, photos and location

The app requests camera or photo access when you use photo features. If your company enables location sharing for your role and you allow iPhone location access, the app can report your precise work location to authorized company dispatchers while it is in use during configured working hours. This version does not enable background location tracking. You can change camera, photo and location permissions in iPhone Settings.

How the information is used and shared

Information is used to provide service-management features, assign work, synchronize authorized company devices, support billing, enforce account permissions, answer support requests and maintain service security. Company users see information according to the access granted to them. Information is also processed by hosting, payment and other service providers needed to operate the features you use. Maps, directions and website tools may contact outside services when opened.

When you print, export, email or share a document, information is sent to the printer, application or recipient you select. Those destinations handle the information under their own policies. The native app does not include an advertising SDK or request Apple's tracking permission.

Device storage and security

The app stores authorized company records and queued work on the device to support field work, along with device authorization information. Network communication with the Service Bench server uses HTTPS. Server access is checked against the user’s company and permissions. Keep your device locked and do not share your account credentials. No service or device can guarantee absolute security.

Retention, access and deletion

You can request permanent deletion of your The Service Bench sign-in account and associated personal data directly in Service Manager. Open App information → Delete your account, use the link on the sign-in screen, or open the account-deletion form. The form verifies your own credentials and shows the completion period. A saved request has a reference and a deadline. You do not need to call or send an email to proceed, and you can request deletion after company access or a subscription has ended.

This sign-in may be shared across The Service Bench services. Deletion therefore affects access to those services. We review linked subscriptions, company ownership and associated personal data before completing the request. Only information required to be retained by applicable law will be retained; the completion confirmation will explain any retained categories and the reason. We email the registered account address when deletion is complete.

The request does not immediately cancel a business subscription or erase shared company records. Company administrators continue to manage team access. Deleting the app itself does not delete the account or cancel a subscription. Access and correction requests can be sent to the privacy contact below.
